Discovery Park Backyard Habitat Garden

Location: 3801 W. Government Way

In partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, the Parks Foundation enabled a large gift from REI to fund the creation of a model Backyard Habitat Garden at Discovery Park. Located behind the visitor's center, this space was transformed by the volunteer labor of students from the Secondary Bilingual Orientation Center. In 2007, these students from Sudan, Ethiopia, and Mexico helped design the garden and install the native plants, walkways, and bridges.
