A Beautiful Place for a Birthday

Seattle parks are our favorite places to go for family’s outings. Among them, there is one place that will always be special in our hearts.
It was July 10, 2007, my Dad’s 81st birthday. The sky was blue and the air was clear. We decided to celebrate in a park next to Lake Washington. Driving along the boulevard, we found a beautiful place, where there was a picnic table next to a large open grassy area, with the floating bridge and mountains in the distance. What a perfect place! While enjoying our picnic, we talked, laughed, and took some pictures. Together, we shared a wonderful time on Dad’s 81st birthday.
Last year on July 10th, we went back to that same place to celebrate Dad’s 82nd birthday. The only person who was missing was my Dad. But, his was with us in our hearts. And that lake-side park will always remain special and beautiful for celebrating my Dad’s birthday.
